Hi new to plex and Synology nas - I have consolidated my media on two synology nas and installed plex on nas 1 and can’t seem to see to add folders from nas 2 - is there a way to mount a remote drive to nas 2 ?
There are likely multiple ways to do this, but one would be to mount the share from the 2nd NAS device to the one on which Plex Media Server is installed. PMS should then be able to access the folder as though it were local. This Synology support article may help:

Be mindful of your file/folder permissions.

Here’s the DSM 7.x version of the article; the above is for DSM 6.2.

Hi thanks for the help but I did try both connection types
for the CIFS type
I got an error of - failed to connect to remote folder . please make sure the remote server is accessible via CIFS protocol.
for NFS type
I got an error - Connection failed. please make sure the remote server is accessible via NFS
I have both nas 1 and nas 2 nfs enable - I can see both nas from windows and android machine
I am using the proper syntax for the folder
- cifs - \\192.168.1.139\volume1\stuff\tv2
-nfs - 192.168.1.139:/volume1/stuff/tv2
Can you please assist ?
