I Need Contact With Plex Team

Hello, good morning…I would appreciate your guidance. I need to download Plex movies, not for theft or illegal action, but for my own collection so that I can subtitle Persian and prepare movies that are not available in Persian. Instead, I am ready to subtitle other movies that are in any language.
Please advise how I can contact someone from the main authorities or a Discord community link or somewhere. Thank you very much, sincerely from Iran

That’s not how it works.
The movies available on watch.plex.tv are not for download. Directly contacting Plex Inc. won’t help with this, because the owner of these movies is not Plex Inc. Thus, they are not free to grant any exceptions.

Do you have someone named Jessica on your team? Could I speak to her?

I need to talk, please give me a way, I can’t find any way…I just want old movies to be subtitled in Persian so I can offer their Persian subtitles, not content theft and elephants.

And I should point out that I mean very old films and not new products, because products with new fans will all have subtitles quickly, but there are wonderful films and series that are not subtitled and remain completely unknown to Persian speakers. Please help me, admin.

Plex doesn’t create or manage or own the titles you watch on their platform. They essentially just deliver the pre-packaged content. They license it from other companies who control and manage it (who often also license it, etc). You’d have to contact those other companies directly to affect any change in their subtitle\language options.

So while the intention is good - wanting to add more subtitles for availability and accessibility - there just isn’t really a route to make it happen. The best you could do is find the owners of specific titles and ask them to add those subtitles to their content and maybe they’ll do that if enough folks ask it (but don’t hold your breath).

Could you please advise how to find people like this? Most of these people do not have the opportunity to answer and think about these issues due to lack of time. The reason I was looking to collaborate with this platform is that a friend of mine is doing this with this platform through one of his employees, but I have much more services to offer.

If you have a friend “doing this with this platform” already then I’d talk to them. You may be misunderstanding the nature of that situation though because Plex does not have any control over the content it streams. They may be providing translation for the UI\UX elements, not the content itself.

Otherwise, no… I dunno how to go down the rabbit hole of finding the content owners of particular titles to offer translation services; but I’d expect they do that as part of their business choices. Essentially though you’d contact the production company so MGM or Universal Studios or Dreamworks - the company that produced the content and whose logo\title usually is at the start of the title - to get involved there if you wanna be hired to be a translator. If you wanna help provide translations for movies\tv shows you really have to work with those companies. There isn’t like a “volunteer” option outside of personal media.

I’m just another Plex user like you so just offering some help to flesh out the “official” response from the Plex rep for ya’ so not much more I can do to help. Good luck!

thanks sir
