I already had a music folder.
I have ensured the “LyricFind” agents for both Artist and Albums are enabled.
I have also tried several time to ‘refresh the metadata’ for my music folder. However my “com.plexapp.agents.lyricfind.log” file is dated from a couple of days ago.
With what exact Plex client app are you experiencing this?
I’ve tested this earlier again on Plex for Mac, Plex Media Player and Plex for iOS. On some of them the feature is a bit tricky to find.
Plex Media Player: click “up” while playing a song and then the ... (more) button from the popup menu; there you should see a Lyrics button
Plex (for Mac/Windows) and Plex Web: a speech bubble with a note is showing in the player bar at the bottom of the screen (between shuffle and equalizer buttons)
Plex for iOS: click on the ... button at the bottom right of the screen when playing a song, then select Lyrics.
I am hosting my own plex server on a Synology NAS. So I use plex for IOS and mac to access my content stored in NAS. When I click on … button, there is no lyrics option. I can only see shuffle, go to artist, add to playlist, share, and delete. I do have Plex Pass
Are your albums properly matched (e.g. do you get Fix Match or Match when clicking ... on an album)? Is your library configured to use only local/embedded metadata?
I double checked and fixed match for all of them. The box of prefer local metadata was not checked. BTW, does the lyric finder only support English songs?

I am running my Plex Media Server on a Windows 10 Pro machine.
There is no symbol as you described. I looked for that reading the Plex Lyric web site pages. My clients (e.g. Roku) are not showing Lyrics either. I don’t think they are downloading at all.
FYI… I have also embedded Lyrics in all of my .mp3 files but my understanding is Plex does not support Lyrics that way.
What can we look at to determine whether Plex is even trying to download Lyrics?
I believe most (if not all) of my albums are matched correctly. I see the correct album covers got downloaded.
When I click on the 3 dots for any album, I see an option to “match” but not “fix match”.
I haven’t really messed with my default settings so I don’t think my configuration is setup to use “local/embedded” metadata, although I would like to since I embedded lyrics in most of my .mp3s. Where would I confirm that?
(e.g. Agents\Albums\Last.FM)
If Plex is showing the option to match (but not fix match), that means they’re not matched against the metadata repositories used by Plex. This should also be the root cause why you’re not getting any lyrics.
Depending on how many albums we’re talking about you could try to manually match them. For the long run it’ll make sense to dig into why they’re not getting matched
Hi, thanks for your help. For my database, all albums were automatically matched and double checked manually. What else would you think might be the reason causing no lyrics?
tom80H I’m not sure why they wouldn’t be matched. I’ve tried to manually match on some of the songs and it keep coming back with same album information. To me, it looks correct.
I think there is something larger going in since none of my music is getting Lyrics.
Are their specific logs I should be looking at to get a clue as to why either the songs aren’t match or why the lyrics are not downloading?
Also, as far as you know, is there still no way to use the embedded lyrics within each .mp3? (I spent a ton of time embedding the lyrics)
