I have Plex Pass and I also have a large library of music. NONE of the lyrics are showing up and that includes Lyrics I have local with a .txt extension. I understand that not all songs have lyrics available via LyricsFinder but for NONE to show up?? This is one of the reasons I am a Plex Pass monthly payment member.
Any suggestions?
Automated lyrics require that the ‘LyricFind’ agent is activated under
Settings - Server - Agents - Albums - last.fm
and
Settings - Server - Agents - Albums - Plex Premium Music
‘Sidecar’ lyrics files require that the file name of the lytics .txt or .lrc file is identical to the file name of the particular song (except of the file name extension, of course) (including upper/lower case!)
and that the ‘Local Media Assets’ agent is activated under
Settings - Server - Agents - Albums - last.fm
and
Settings - Server - Agents - Albums - Plex Premium Music
and
Settings - Server - Agents - Albums - Personal Media Albums
After adding the sidecar lyrics files, you are supposed to ‘Refresh Metadata’ for the affected Albums or Artists.
Lyrics won’t activate themselves during playback. You always have to activate them per-song.
If you did all the above, please post the file names of both audio and lyrics file and the Plex XML info of the song.
I did a refresh and the local files did show up. However, the lyrics from LyricsFind still do not always show up. The cursor just spins trying to load. This is when the “Lyrics” option is active which tells me it found them but it can’t load them. Yes my server is on a wired connection. I have all my Roku Players and Roku TV hardwired.
Thanks for the feedback. Maybe in a few years when the Roku rewrite is complete the system will respond better.
