I think Plex is malfunctioning

Hello all,

Today I have experiencing so many troubles and have no idea what is going on.

  1. I had about 20 of youtube clips under Movies category and all the clips are gone. Tried to add a new category under another video and it says “There are no items in Library”
  2. All the mp3 titles disappeared ( Input title again → Save → Scan library → titles are gone again)
  3. Uploaded new mp3, mp4 files don’t appear in library.

Could you help me please?

clips aren’t movies. Why don’t you use an “other videos” library?

not sure what "input title again " means. Are you are editing metadata?

  1. Youtube clips -> The thing is it worked until last week and they are gone today. Yes, I tried “other videos” too. Still it says “There are no items in Library”

In addition to this, I’ve got 1 more issue.

1 of movie folder gives me an error message “There was an unexpected error loading this library”
and I wanted to delete it. But I can never delete.

Unfortunately it looks like you have a lot of database corruption, which is not straight forward to fix (if it can be) on the Nvidia Shield. You would need to move the Plex Data folder to a USB drive or something. Access the database on it with your computer and attempt to fix. Then reverse the process.

Not sure if all of your libraries are having the issue or just the one with Youtube clips

Nothing works on Plex actually.
I am just a beginner of Plex media server and don’t know if I can fix this database corruption.

In worst case scenario, I have to reset everything and start over from scratch again.
Would you mind giving me instruction for that please?

to start from scratch

  1. go to the setting of the sheild itself and under Apps find Plex and clear the app data.

  2. go to https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/devices/all. find the server there and click the red X to remove it from your account.

  3. just start the Server app on the shield again and it will start as if you never used it.
