So I got the dialog to “turbocharge my metadata” and in my naivety clicked “Upgrade Libraries”. There was a brief error on the screen that disappeared… and now I have this lovely “Up Arrow” on my Activity widget that won’t go away… ! What do I do now? I’ve tried deleting and recreating almost every library of mine… that didn’t help it… do I just “live with it”?
I am also experiencing the same behavior after doing the exact same steps (and receiving a brief error that disappeared before I could read it). Hoping there’s some easy reset or fix. Everything seems to be working just fine, but that yellow arrow is going to drive me nuts.
No nothing like that… I know what the upgrade icon looks like and what to look for. And the only thing that would show up in the dropdown was the was the link to the Dashboard.
FWIW… finally… after several days… the up-arrow icon disappeared…
Single server - clicking it shows no updates or actions pending. When nothing is playing just shows my server name and a link to the dashboard. Very odd.
Looks like it may possibly have been picking up another Plex server that was being shared with me? Despite it only showing my own server when I click the Activity button (that had the yellow up arrow icon), when I went into Settings > Users & Sharing > Friends and removed my one friend who was sharing their Plex libraries with me then it went away.
Mine is doing it as well, but only in the web client. I have the Windows client installed, and it looks correct. Here is a picture with the dropdown menu open:
I have a friend who is also sharing a library with me, and his library is not upgraded. But that’s his server, not mine, so I shouldn’t have any control over his server.
