I want to give my sister access to my library without giving her my account information

I have a lifetime pass and my sister has a Amazon Fire TV. She wants to use Plex at her home and stream from my server that is at my home. Is there a way she can use a free account to view my content on her device? Without her just using my account? Like can I add her as a family member or something? I have looked around for an answer but I am unable to.

Yes, she just needs to create a free plex account and then you can share your server with her.

Yes. Have your sister create a plex.tv account, no need to buy a Plex Pass. You then create a Plex Home https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/204234323-Creating-a-Plex-Home. You share your server to her account. https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/sections/200295083

She then logs into her Fire TV using her plex account info.

In the above scenario your sister would need to make a one-time purchase of the Plex for Fire TV app

hmmm so she needs to buy the app from fire TV store? or she needs to buy a pass? How does this work? I’m a bit confused now.

No plexpass needed, she just needs to install the app and then active (purchase) the app

hmmm I guess Im confused about the “purchase” part. I thought once you install the app that is it. I’m not trying to be annoying but I thought if an app was paid, you purchase it before you install it? Plex has an in app purchase??

The app is free to download and install. When you log in with your account, it then knows that you have plexpass and therefore the app is free. Otherwise, there’s a one-time 5 dollar charge, or thereabouts. So, she’d pay the one-time charge, just like any other app since she doesn’t have plexpass.
