I have a hollidays house where I have another synology NAS with the same folders and files than in my main house where I have another Synology NAS. In both NAS I have installed Plex Media Server. The problem is that when I enter using Plex in one of the NAS the names of the files (movies) are shown as they are but in the other NAS the names have been changed by PLEX itshelf (I suppose trying to use the theoretical right movie name). I mean a file that in both NAS is saved as ABC.mkv, when I use Plex to see it in one NAS is shown as BBB.mkv and in the other as ABC.mkv
The fact, and using my example I do prefer to see ABC.mkv and in the same folder when using Plex in both NAS.
I understand that in this case one of the points for using Plex is to see details (dates, actors, summary, etc) of the movies. But I only need the Plex capability to act as a media server that is compatible with my TVs and other players and I am happy with the names I have used for my files in the NAS (on both) and the way they have been classified in folders.
How could I solve it and achive what I want?

You probably configured the first library as „other video“ type while the other library is configured as movie-type. The other video type library won’t automatically match your files to an online repository or load metadata.
Thank you very, very much Tom. This has been the case. I cre- ated the library in Plex for the NAS that was affected using “other videos” and voilá. Now both NAS have 4285 movies.
There is an additional point. The movies (files) in both NAS are 4635. Where do you this the difference (4635 - 4285comes from?
It happens the same in the NAS for music. In the NAS there are 118.437 files (tracks) and in the Plex library here are 115.924.
