Ok I have a smart sharp roku tv that is hooked up to my Xbox series S console, along with Plex app only installed on my TCL 40 XL android smartphone with Plex app downloaded from the Google Playstore. What would be the easiest, most clear and fast way to run the Plex app? I also have Amazon echo dot in my room along with the sharp TV and all these electronics are all on my Starlink WiFi. Could you please give me your opinion on how you’d cast Plex and if Roku store has Plex app for free, would it make more sense to use the Roku Smart TV? The Xbox One S, or maybe an echo dot? I know the devices have to be on the same network, but can I use any of these together and if hitting the cast button on my android and it showing up on my TV. What server address do I need and where do I put it and what other connections do I need to make to get Plex up and working like regular TV, Movies, Etc?
Assuming you’re running your own Plex Media Server under the same Plex account there won’t be a need to enter an ip address. The apps should see your server just fine, no matter if you’re accessing the server from the native Roku app or through your phone, casting to one of your other clients/players.
If you just want to access one of the online media sources offered by Plex (e.g. their video-on-demand, live-tv streaming or video rentals) you also don’t have to enter any ip addresses. Just keep in mind you cannot cast any of those, but have to access them from the respective local/native player.

If you want to play the media through your Android mobile, you might need to unlock the app. The activation is an in-app purchase which is valid with your respective App Store / platform account (it’s not tied to your Plex account).
