If movie/series label is empty then cant be deleted

Server Version#: 1.29.1.6316
Player Version#: 4.87.2

If I see an empty label for movie or series, and click to delete filter button, then the empty label can’t be deleted. (Edit movie - Sharing - Labels)

Would you mind rephrasing that description/issue? I don’t understand what you’re trying to achieve vs. what’s happening

puzzles and boredom

Can’t delete a sharing label that’s empty?
so for example you expect to see something like x family-friendly

mceclip3-6

but instead you use see an x and no label like below?

X no label

and you want to click the x to remove that but it fails? Have you tried clicking to the right of the black box as if you want to type another label but instead using your “Delete” to back up and erase it? Is it just a cosmetic issue or causing more problems?

No, the problem not with the label deleting. The problem is when i filter movies by label then appears empty labels. For example: you make label “retro” for 10 movies. When u filter them , u can see 10 movies. After you delete the “retro” label but when you filter again the empty “retro” label can’t disappear

Labels are cached until you “optimize database”.

I see. Thank u for ur answer

Awesome. That worked when I created a new Sharing label and deleted it from the films, then optimized. Oddly I still have a left over empty sharing label from the days of PMS-1.20 or so that optimize didn’t remove. I’m not 100% certain it’s a sharing label but it’s there.

Below is a test label and another I didn’t remember.
Test Label

below: test label removed - optimized - old label remains

It’ll be interesting to see if it survives ChuckPA’s DBRepair.sh
or if I can find that name using DB Browser for SQLite.

It’s already resolved. Only one optimization needs to be run and the empty label tag will be deleted. I thought that the empty label is deleted immediately and automatically if there is no media associated with it.

I wonder if it’s being used in another library. You can find it in the database. It’s in the “tags” and “taggings” tables.

Neat I found after optimizing

Taserface in Taggings

and Partial Criterion in Tags
