I'm a moron! Can't get remote access to work

Awesome, :+1:

same issue im having but ive changed isp and before was working great before change so do u think my wan ip is non static

Has your computer changed? Mine was a new PC I built and I worked for few months and finally brought in to check and reinstalling Windows did fix it

nothing is changed just unplug old router plug in new from diff isp and then i got remote issue if u reinstall windows might be issue with something blocking in windows

Definitely check with your ISP. Also check your router/modem config and see what standards they are set to: IPv4/6, etc.

The WAN IP doesn’t need to be static (Plex handles IP address changes very well), but it has to be public.

  • If you have a public WAN IPv4 address, ports need to be forwarded on your router (either automatic with UPnP/NAT-PMP or manually set), and remote access can work.
  • If your WAN IPv4 address is private (ie, behind CG-NAT), remote access won’t work no matter what you port-forwarding settings you do on your router.
  • If you have IPv6, you can make remote access work, but this needs to be manually configured in Plex, and the clients need to be on IPv6 too.

ok this issue for me is confusing i have port forwarded the router plus it also does it auto i seen but dissappears from the router but the issue is i can leave it connected for long hours at time but soon as i hit any settings in the ples server it goes back not available outside and soon as i click the retry im connected so i want to no why it wont stay on

reinstalled windows fixed my problem
