I'm an admin and can't see my library, but a regular user can see it all

Server Version#: PMS 1.25.4.5487-7000
Player Version#: 1.41.0.2876-e960c9ca

Hi,
I’m running PMS on my Synology NAS.

I only have two users:
-Me. The admin account. PIN protected. Has access to everything, and is the only one that could update PMS and delete media.
-Another account for my wife and my daughter. They share the other account when using the Roku or the player on a MacBook. This is a regular user.

On any normal day, my wife or daughter will start Plex on the Roku in our living room, click on the regular account, and be presented with all the media immediately. No PIN on their account. When I log in, I’m asked for the PIN and then get presented with the same media. This is normal behavior.

However, when I tried to log in today (as me) I saw no media.
My screen shows Home, Downloads, and “More >”, and a statement that “Your home screen is empty”.
I clicked on the “More >” and then “Your Media”, and then see a screen with “Add your media to Plex” with only a “Get Plex Media Server” button - which opens the website to download PMS…

I can switch the user to my wife’s account, and she can see all the media with no issue.

I literally lost all access to my Plex server if I’m using my own user.

I tried the usual things of stopping and starting the Plex server and restarting the NAS.

This looks like a permission issue - as if my account, the admin account, has no access to my media. I have no idea why this would suddenly happen. I have made no changes whatsoever.

Thank you for your help!

-Ronny

More info:
On the Roku, I went to Plex, then to my account and then under “User options” I went to “Media Server Status”. I then see “DS9 Unauthorized”. DS9 is the name of my media server.

My Roku Ultra did this the other day. I left it on the Home screen while I cussed a red streak and it magically, slowly appeared as if it was loading via molasses. Don’t know what ‘fixed’ it but my Home screen was restored to it’s previous state. I was getting ready to power cycle mine to see if it helped. Have you tried logging back into the other account and then re-logging in as your Admin account?

Good luck

Chris

Thanks. My issue is different. I can switch back and forth between the superuser (admin) and a regular user, but the superuser can’t see any of the media.

Closing this as I have a more accurate problem description in another ticket. Thank you.
