Hello i need your Help.
This is how the situation is now:
The Media Server is signed into my account. Runs on Windows 10.
Router is Fritzbox 6490.
So it says there Remote Access is not available.
But it works. I can watch from my Smartphone via Mobile Data, i can watch from my parents House near Cologne and so on. But it still tells me remote access is not available. Everything was just fine and i was happy.
I thought it has to be a bug cause it works, but today i wanted to test is from a friend of mine with his playstation 3. Downloaded Plex app, signed in aaaaand unable to connect. Visit help.plex.tv/noserver
I did. not helped.
I tried https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200484543-Connecting-a-Server
and https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200931138
no success. Only thing i did not was enable UnPnP, i dont want to open too much ports and i dont want that only cause of plex other programms can do this.
Secure Connections are set to accept both but prioritize safe connection.
I googled it and found only unsolved cases, i searched in this board no solution for me.
Can u please help me? or give me a hint? Im little bit frustated after 3 hours
Does http://canyouseeme.org/ say that your port is open or close? Is the IP reported there as your Public the same IP as Plex reports as your Public IP?
Hey Peter, Thanks for your Answer. Im not sure but i will test it as soon as i find some time to work on it again. And i got a new synology NAS DS216se and i will try to set up the media server on that thing.

Hi again, i found some time. So the site u posted tells me:“Error: I could not see your service on IP on port (32400)”
The IP is exact the same like plex tells me. Do you or anyone else have an idea why the connection is refused there?
Well i actually didnt thought to the easiest possibility -.-
I create a new execption for windows firewall aaand tada. it is green. for 5 seconds… then its red again advise me that i might be in a double NAT situation. Checked it like https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200931138
But i dont get it somebody can give me a little help with that bridge thing?
What i dont understand is why do i have another IPV6 adress at my PC as in my fritzbox is shown?! There is no switch or something like this between the PC and the router. And the Synology NAS what is also connected to my router allows Remote access. Everything green, everything fine…
Update: Has to be buggy. I checked again this morning and even the NAS is now out of Remote Access. Just a advice that the server is not reachable out of my network. thats all. I do stand right at the beginning.
I’m in the same position for a week now. I have tried to open ports, but I’m having no luck and that site says the port isn’t open (doesn’t help that I’m having to use the French ISP Free’s Freebox Revolution as my router). It doesn’t allow me to open a port on TCP and UDP, so I have to do two redirects - one for each - and when I retry Plex, I get “Connecting Server”, then it flashes green for a second and then switches back to the red “Not available outside your network”.
The Roku I have plays everything fine, but my phone cannot access my server.
I’m not sure what I can have possibly changed other than doing a Plex update. Last week, everything worked fine.

Last thing, on the Remote Access page the path is stated as “Private 192.168.1.39 : 32400 Public 91.160.69.182 : 49150 x Internet”. My machine IP is 192.168.0.13 and statically assigned - 192.168.1.39 isn’t the same subnet.
