Hello.
I purchased a Plex Pass lifetime subscription a couple of months ago. I am totally blind and was blown away by how accessible the Plex app on Windows was.
I had been having a lot of issues with Plex for my iPhone. The app was crashing quite frequently every time I would try to open it and I learned today that there was a new and updated Plex app for IOS. I downloaded it immediately and was blown away once again. The app looks really good from where I’m sitting. Things are labeled and when I click on one of the items on the screen it opens with seemingly no issue.
Now we come to the issue I am having.
I have a music library full of tracks. Previously, although it crashed often the Plex app had no trouble connecting to my library. I could see my songs, artists, albums etc and when the app was behaving, I could play what I wanted to. Now, although the app looks great and it is not closing on me randomly, I am told I have no servers or don’t have access to any. I’ve tried turning off and on the permissions to access my local network, I connected the computer to wi-fi although I have an Ethernet cable plugged into the back of it, and finally made sure that the Plex media server is up to date.
Here’s where we stand now. I cannot access my Plex music library from my iPhone. Everything computer side is working awesome, and if anyone could help me figure out what this issue is I would appreciate it very very much.
I am hoping that I will not have to use Plexamp to access my music. Last time I looked that app was not very blind-friendly. While I am awaiting a response to this message I’ll go see if that is still the case. If it is and I am able to access my library that way I will write back and inform you of such.
Thank you so much. I am sure I will get some good help soon.
