iPhone app broken after password change

The Plex iOS app refuses to connect to any of my libraries. It acts as if my server is offline. It’s not.

I can connect to my Plex server via Roku (with constant network interruptions breaking the stream, longstanding issue.) But the iOS Plex app refuses to connect.

Tried relaunching the app. No change in behavior.

Tried restarting the snap service. No change in behavior.

Tried rebooting the Plex Ubuntu server. No change in behavior.

Tried rebooting the iPhone. No change in behavior.

The iPhone app insists that the Plex server is offline. It’s not.

I had the same problem with my iPhone SE (3rd Gen) on iOS 18.6.2 and the Plex iOS app 2025.24.0 (1235)

The ‘fix’ makes no sense whatsoever but here’s what fixed it for me. On your iPhone go to the Settings app, then scroll down to Apps and select Plex. The setting for Local Network was OFF! Turned it back on and suddenly Plex worked fine.

Plex worked fine before resetting my password and why that would turn that setting off I have no idea.

Hope this helps!

Same issue here after having to login again.

I can connect fine to the webapp on my PC by typing the server IP, but the iOS app (both iPhone and iPad) tells me that my server is down. Relogging didn’t work, toggling on/off Local Network in iOS settings didn’t work. My TV (Sony running Android) doesn’t see the server either.

Please advise.

Any update ? Latest software update didn’t fix anything.

I still can see the server in Chrome, but not on iOs/Android.

Jellyfin works fine btw, maybe that’s what I’ll use.

Turns out that after another server update (on my nas) the webapp app asked me to “claim” my server. Which I couldn’t do since for some reason I was “Not authorized” (see the article here). After seeing the “Not authorized” page and refreshing it worked again.

No idea of what happened but I now can see my server again on iOS. Not sure if this is a bug or a feature…
