I’ve been having major problems with Plex now, for about a month (since I was finally forced to upgrade the OS on my PR2100).
I upgraded OS, then reinstalled Plex with the most recent version.
However, Plex is behaving VERY badly.
There are no problems with my naming conventions (using the specified notations for years)
New media is picked up, and there are notifications in the Alerts, saying Created a New Item. However, the hyperlinks on all these are dead, and the new media never show up in the library.
I’ve deleted media, scanned library, and then moved it back. No. Literally repeated this with my entire library, to try to get the system to clean out the database. No. Even after a forced rescan its still listing everything even though the folder it uses is now empty.
I’ve gone to Setting → Manage libraries → Delete TV Shows. It deletes, and then literally before my eyes reappears within about 1 second.
I have beaten myself to death with this thing, and am honestly so sick of it I’m thinking about going to Emby.
Please, can anyone make any further suggestions before I just throw in the towel, I am sooo frustrated!?
That’s precisely what has happened.
When I go to Console when a scan is happening, their just a constant battering of database corrupted messages.
I guess a new ticket now, as I’ve zero ide how to access the Plex system files on the PR2100 - I’m afraid my experience of Unix was in the early 90’s, and zero Linux.
Thanks for putting me on the right trail - it’s what I had feared!
