  1. The transcoding team is working on this actively.
  2. We discussed surgical workarounds to deal with this on Synology and QNAP last evening
  3. Those work arounds would unburden the NAS community from having to cope with this manually. (PMS for those two Vendors would be patched before release).
  4. When transcoding problem fixed, iHD_drv_video.so will be again added to the distribution packaging.

Hi, i still have this issue on a qnap. Hope it will be fixed soon.

Can we bump up the priority for resolving this issue? Quite a few Plex Pass folks are using Synology or QNAP servers and find themselves unable to watch videos with selectable subtitles.

You can use the workaround from a few posts above while they fix it.

Also please be advised, it is that time of year with holidays this week in the US and the traditional end-of-year holidays most observe.

Folks will be taking time off to be with with their families.

In fairness to all, holding steady on a PMS version until after Jan 1st is probably the best strategy. Doing so allows a stable PMS for everyone to use. Everyone can also enjoy the holiday season in their own way.
