IMDb ratings missing?

I have IMDb rating enabled for my movie section. They used to show (IMDb logo and rating) but just recently they’ve reverted to the star with a percentage which is RT, I’m guessing. The rating doesn’t show on any app I used for plex (Android, Roku, Web)

What can I do to get this back?

Here is the setting for the folder on the server:

Thanks for any help.

There’s been some posts about Plex falling back to the star ratings if a metadata refresh times out.
Recommended solution was to manually do a refresh and see if this fixes it across your library – or alternatively to do such a metadata refresh only for the impacted items (one by one).

If you run into this frequently you might consider to deactivate automatic metadata updates.

Tried that. Doesn’t work. Anyone else have any ideas?

clear the agent caches before the manual refresh

Hi @richardhanney. This is often a problem for me. However, as stated above, if I keep trying, and especially try when the system is otherwise idle, then I do eventually get the IMDb rating. I have seen at least one case where the caching system that’s used does not in fact have the rating, but that is very rare.

Have a look at a previous discussion:

When you run a refresh, the step that actually gets the IMDb rating runs a query like this:

https://meta.plex.tv/m/4170344?lang=en&ratings=1&reviews=1&extras=1

I just tried the above in my browser, and the response took about 30 seconds. The Plex agent would have given up before then and the result would have been the star ratings instead, as you have experienced.

Try a different one for yourself (if you try the same URL above, you’ll probably get a faster response than I did, because it is now cached). Just replace the 7 digit number with a different IMDb movie ID. You should probably try a movie that’s not very popular. I’d be interested in hearing if the results are similar for you. I not, then perhaps you’re experiencing a different problem.

I think I was too hasty when I said I didn’t work. After a couple refreshes and disabling auto meta update it now works.
