I’m trying to create a collection for movies that I haven’t yet rated. Both Collections and Playlists have the ability to filter for ratings between 1 and 5 starts but if you leave the ratings field blank it won’t accept that as criteria. I would like a filter for Ratings = unrated so that I can create a collection on that basis. This has been implemented for music so just need it for movies and tv libraries.
That seems to be more of a regression – I still have a working smart playlist that’s filtering all unrated movies. Though as you pointed out… a newly created smart playlist/collection seems to create a different result.

I stand corrected… you can still do that. Though it’s a little tricky to achieve. You get the best result by hovering/swiping over the star selection, holding the mouse button down and swipe to the very left until no stars are selected. With the rating properly set to “none”, the display should automatically adjust accurately.
If this is too much of a pain you can always combine the ratings and filter by a group of criteria (rating is not 
AND rating is not AND rating is not , ratings is not AND rating is not )

I also stand corrected, it took a little fidgeting on the Mac but I was able to get it to select, then unselect using the hovering method and it worked. Thanks for the suggestion!
