I might be missing something here but if I play a video when I'm online it streams it even if I've already synced it to my device. It'd be a lot better if the default was to play the synced video even if I'm online, and stream if it's not synced.
Other than that plex sync works reasonably well for me and is so damn clever. Every time I show it to people they're amazed that it's a possibility.

iOS app has 'prefere synced content' option.
No idea if it works but it has the option.
And the android (kepler) app has this checked by default - and it definitely does work!

Oh yeah, I didn't see this. I have the Android one and it doesn't seem to work for me. I just tried it and it seems to be playing the streamed version even though it's saying it's synced. Although if I go to synced content and play it says 'cannot play this video' so maybe it's choosing streaming because of that?
