My wife likes to use Plex to listen to her music library on her way to and from work. Let’s say that she uses the “Sync” feature and downloads the music files to the phone. Now the next morning she opens the Plex app (does NOT put the app into “offline browsing” mode) and plays some music, will it play the music from the local phone or stream it from my server? I am hoping it defaults to the local storage. Telling my wife she needs to turn the app into offline mode would probably cause confusion…
It will default to streaming. However, there is a setting in the app called “Prefer synced content” that will then default to the local version.
