It would be nice to have the next episode’s information and the autoplay countdown to start while the current episode is showing the end credits like Netflix. If credits are detected then shrink the video and show next episode information.
i personally could do without this, main reason is post credits scenes. Having it as an optional (enabled by user not server setting) would be ok I guess for some.
I’m wondering if this is actually overlapping with the suggestion to have an option to skip endings / credits of an episode (and supposedly autoplaying the next episode if enabled). Plex have btw. commented this feature is currently being worked on…

Just catching up on this suggestion. This seems to have been the default in some players for a few months. Now it should be a configurable option using the player experience client settings.
I’m therefore considering this to be implemented.

Is Plex-for-Windows going to get this love too?
I believe I’ve seen a comment somewhere that the player experience additions are planned for the mobile and big-screen clients for now (that would not include Plex Web and the regular desktop clients).
[edit: there’s now a dedicated suggestion to add the „player experience“ features to the regular desktop apps and web client too → Player Experience for Plew-Web and Plex-for-Windows, Plex-for-Mac]

Yes. Finally available as of Plex for iOS/tvOS 8.39
2024 clean-up:
