I'd love to see a Plex Client on the Tivo Mini. Netflix is going to have one there. MLB has client on it. A Plex client on the Tivo Mini would make it a very useful little device.
The new TiVo boxes use the Opera App Store (HTML5 based)! Should not be too difficult based on the existing functionality with Plex/Web!
And there is the problem. The NEW Tivo boxes. I don't believe the older Premier and below will get the newer software update, I could be wrong but i was on the Tivo user forums and could see no mention that the software for the Roameo boxes will be issued to the older hardware. How many new boxes do you think Tivo will sell in the next year? Worth it to the Plex team to spend any time developing an App for such a small base.
I own 3 Premiers with lifetime. I love my Tivos but wouldn't consider buying a new Roameo except if a Plex client was available (with skins). This is only an incentive for a Tivo developer not a Plex one. Then again I read that Sony is using Opera as well.
Also keep in mind that many people get their TiVo boxes through their cable provider. The cable company provided TiVos don't even have Netflix on them. How likely do you think it is that these would incorporate Plex?
I love TiVo and owned one of the first satellite TiVo units. I still have 2 Premiere XL4 boxes. I just don't see most folks being able to utilize this, even if TiVo approved it as an app.

The thing is though, they would reach many more users than just TiVo users by developing this App. Since it would be in the Opera App store, it would be available to TiVo Roamio users, and perhaps more importantly, Sony TV users.
Maybe a new thread should be created for an Opera TV Store App, since it applies much more broadly than just to TiVo.
Or maybe a moderator can rename the thread to "Opera TV Store App" ? Mods? Please?
Would love to see an opera store app. Just bought a Hisense TV and it use opera store as well. Looks like there are now a number of newer smart tvs including the opera store.

There is talk of backporting the HTML5 to the Premieres.
