Somehow The Search Function needs to be reworked. For Example: if i type in “future” following results come up:
Artists: Future Trance (6 Albums) → Correct
Albums: 6 (3 Showing and all 6 showing when expanding Albums) → Correct
Tracks: 1 → False it Should be 5
So why is that only one Track comes up, it should be looking if Album,Artist or Title has the word “future” in it. Thats how all Search Modules,Engines are wokring worldwide. how come Plex AMP doesnt?
Please fix this in an Update
One Thing what would be also nice, let the User decide if he wants to search for Albums, Tracks, or Artists(Maybe a Dropbox within the Search Bar). Instead of showing all 3 Categorys at Default.
EDIT: This is not only on Plex AMP, also the Search within Plex Web don’t works correctly with the music
I suspect that it is because only one song has “Future” in the title. The other 4 files have “Future” in the filename, but only because that is the artist/album name. Plex must run a search against the metadata of files, not the filenames.
If Plex would run a search against Metdata it would come up with right Answers…
Their Search Module is bugged AF…
Having Artists showing in the first line and actually not displaying the Artists but rather Album Artist is just boogus
Fix The Search Modul - Not Even an Music Enthusiast as i might call my self, can remember each Title and Artist correctly. HOW ARE WE SUPPOSE to find the track we are looking for if the Search doesnt show us all entrys.
Its not a thing of having everything tagged right or using File/ Folder System as Plex Guides it. They messes up big time here…
— If a Kid,Grandma or whoever is looking for something, in our case an mp3, then for whatever word is typed in it wants as answer all Albums, all Tracks (Artist and Title) containing that specifix word, whether its on the end, beginng or in the middle.—
