The lack of AirPlay 2 support has been dismissed as not necessary because the system AirPlay picker works for me 
. Given the HomePod was introduced as primarily an AirPlay 2 device, I wonder if this thread is highlighting a case where legacy AirPlay has been untested.
Arguing that adding the AirPlay controls in-app is merely a shortcut to the system AirPlay controls appears inaccurate according to the AirPlay 2 Introduction from WWDC 2017.
Is there a technical reason Plex is unable to implement the specified changes required for AirPlay 2?
