It seems that the way that different clients handle playlists differ quite a bit. This also makes playlists less useful.
Looking at the following examples. The only interface that shows unplayed items in the UI is the smarttv. Others ignore played state completely. Web interface shows numbered list, where none of the other interfaces have numbers etc.
The problem is that not having played state in the playlist view makes it rather hard to find the proper place to continue watching (When there is no option to play unplayed), currently the only real option is to manually search for episodes that you think you have previously watched of use a smarttv to continue watching..
