It seems like plex has multiple sources of files for one episode? this is quite annoying and I have no clue how to fix it, even tho I am following the file convention
If I go to that folder and play the actual file the content is what it is supposed to be.
does anyone know why this is happening?
Edit your library
go to the Add Folders tab
Ensure that only the folder /MediaNFS/TV Shows is added to the library.
Not even one folder level above, nor below that.
If you are using square brackets to hide optional info from Plex, keep in mind that Plex only ignores the content of the first pair of square brackets.
Sorry I don’t understand, this is already the current folder structure.
The question is: which exact folders are added to your library?
For Plex to properly recognize your media, the library should point to /MediaNFS/TV Shows.
okey I had two folders instead of one and only one, and I think that is what caused the issue to begin with.
just a quick note on naming/file structure, I am going to bet you have your library pointed at /mediaNFS/ in your case it should be pointed to ``/mediaNFS/TV Shows/` second, you are using IMDB IDs for TV shows, this is not something plex supports, imdb IDs are for movies only. I would recommend using either TVDB or tmdb IDs.
