Incorrect match despite IMDB tt in filename

Server Version#: 1.20.0.3181

I just came across the post from a month ago describing how to include the IMDB tt number in a movie’s filename. I have made this change for all my movies (I only have about 30).

I have one movie that Plex has been having trouble with. The movie is “Inferno (2016) {imdb:tt3062096}.” Plex insists on matching this to “Into the Inferno (2016) tt4846318,” which I don’t have, even with the tt3062096 in the filename.

The legacy agent gets this one right. The new agent does not.

There are no embedded tags in the .mkv file other than the title:

Fix Match shows both movies, so it’s easy to fix manually, but it shouldn’t be having this difficulty. (Actually, Fix Match lists 20 movies! If the IMDB ID number is available, there should be only one)

I tested a bogus file:

Inferno (2016)/Inferno (2016) {imdb:tt3062096}.mkv

A new test library, using the new scanner/agent. It matched correctly for me.

@beckfield do you have the Include Adult Content advanced library option checked?

If so, can you uncheck it, and then try again? There is a bug in the current PMS that causes this value to incorrectly cause poor matching. It will be fixed in the next release.

I had to try it for myself. That makes mine behave like @beckfield’s and match “Into the Inferno” too.

Herzog is a little bit weird but I wouldn’t hide him behind “Adult …”. Funny.

Nailed it. With that option unchecked, Plex correctly matches the movie, and even when I use the tt number to manually match, it lists only the correct movie.

I’ll watch for the next release.
