I am having strange issue with Plex Android TV client. I have a movie with 6 subtitles streams in different languages where the first stream is in ASS format, others are SRT.
[1] English (ASS)
[2] German (SRT)
[3] Czech (SRT)
[4] Greek (SRT)
[5] Romanian (SRT)
[6] Polish (SRT)
Now when I select [1] then English ASS subtitles are shown, transcoding starts, I believe all as expected here. Next I switch to [2] and now strange issue is occurred because again English subtitles are shown, seems like they are extracted from ASS, they work without transcoding, anyway German subtitles are not shown. Next I switch to [3] where expected are Czech subs but German [2] subs are shown instead. Same thing applies to next items from list. At the end Polish subtitles are completely unavailable because there is this move by 1 so when I select Polish then I’m getting Romanian subs instead. There is no other entry for Polish then.
I’m occurring this issue only in Android TV Plex client, I checked it on NVIDIA SHIELD and on Sony TV with Android TV from 2023. Both devices have same behaviour. I additionally checked regular Android client on my mobile (Samsung) and here all works correctly. Also all good in Chrome on Windows PC. It looks like problem is specific to Android TV client.
Did anyone of you occurred this problem? Ideally it would be great to have this fixed, as a workaround I potentially can remux that movie and move ASS subtitles to the end at 6th position which I guess should resolve my problem.
