Incorrect TV Show being pulled

I am trying to match a TV Show Glastonbury 1984. It doesn’t match using Plex TV Show agent. So I have to use tvdb-82382 to scrape the metadata from Glastonbury - TheTVDB.com.

However, when I do this Plex scrapes metadata for the Glastonbury 2022 festival from: Glastonbury (TV Series 2022- ) — The Movie Database (TMDB).

I don’t understand why this is happening as I am not referencing tmdb at all.

As an aside, Jellyfin matches Glastonbury with tvdb perfectly and pulls the correct metadata through, so this appears to be a Plex issue rather than anything else.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

Edit the show at its highest level and set the “Episode ordering” to “ThetVDB (Aired)”.
then Refresh Metadata of this show.

The two websites are indeed referring to the same show. But the data on TMDB are a mess.

Thanks for the reply. It was already set to “TheTVDB Aired”, unfortunately.

I tried ‘absolute’ and ‘DVD’ just to be sure, but nothing worked.

The show remains in an ‘unmatched’ state currently and doens’t have any metadata applied to it.

Is there anything else I can try to force it to pull from tvdb rather than tmdb?

If it’s “unmatched”, it won’t pull any metadata (unless there are some within your files).
Didn’t you say that you got it to match using the tvdb-82382 matching hint?

Got it to work :slight_smile:
I matched it to the incorrect one (Glastonbury 2022 from TMDB).
Then I changed it to TheTVDB Aired and refreshed metadata and it pulled from tmdb instead of tmdb. Interesting that it needed me to match first and woudln’t do it off the bat.
Many thanks for this, I’d have never have worked that out on my own.
