I had this happen two weeks ago when trying to add Lana Del Rey’s new album Chemtrails over the Country Club. No mater how many times I tired, it would not appear in my local music library. A few days later (it may have been after a PMS restart), each individual song appeared as a separate album. It was very odd. I removed them and tried album again, but it still wouldn’t add.
The following week, I finally tried again and it worked without issue. However, I had the individual songs pop up again which had to be removed. I then discovered entries matching the songs as scheduled DVR recordings!
I chalked all of this up to some weird fluke and it hasn’t happened since. Now I’m just having a trouble downloading music metadata…
EDIT: I re-read your post and see that we’re not exactly talking about the same thing. If you search for the album in Plex, does it show up under TIDAL in the search results?
I just tried to search for a few of the albums pictured and had no luck either. I do know that there are some songs that will not appear in Plex because of licensing, but I have yet to come across an entire album!
Same issue here. My problems started a few weeks ago. Many new singles become available on Tidal, but will not show up in Plex. I started a playlist in Tidal for all my favorite new releases, then check back in Plex every day to see if any show up. Occasionally one or two will sneak in, but the majority of my “Brand New Content” playlist won’t show up in Plex. Here are my top 10 tracks that I’m waiting for: All available & playable in Tidal proper, but none in Plex.
I heard it may be related to licenses on third party software, but it was never mentioned when I subscribed, so they should start communicating better.
