Tidal - Full album missing from Plex view, but present on Tidal.com

A new album released today from the artist “Tenth Avenue North”, and I’d like to add to my library. It shows up on Tidal.com, but does not appear to be reachable via Plex. The album title is called “No Shame,” which was also the title of the previous single, so I assume this is causing a problem for Plex?

Here’s the view from the plex library tab from within the plex web app:

Here’s the view from tidal.com which shows 10 albums:

If I specifically look up a song on the new album like this:

then click on the song name above, I get this error message:

Think this is a fixable bug?
I saw this other post (Tidal - Part of content is missing) where part of the album is missing, but my issue is the whole album is missing.
Thanks for your help.

We’re tracking a similar issue already, will update you when it’s been resolved.

Thanks for the report!

Looks like this one got solved with Windows server version 1.16.4.1469. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for letting us know! This wasn’t a server update fix but the continuing work by our provider team to improve the overall experience.

This is happening today with the new Kanye West album, Jesus is King. It is not showing up in Plex in any way, but is in Tidal. In the past, I have been able to add the album to a playlist in Tidal, and then move the tracks into my Plex library, but when I go to Plex, the playlist I created with the album is blank. Still trying to figure out how to move this over.

I’ve got 2 more releases I see on Tidal & wish I could add to my Plex library. These came out this week (off cycle/non standard-release dates, a.k.a. non-Friday) and were available from Tidal.com by yesterday, but still unavailable on the Plex platform today.

SEAN MICHEL: Just Like Us (Release date 12.9.19)
https://tidal.com/browse/album/125140286

SAINT: The Calf (Release date 12.11.19)
https://tidal.com/browse/album/125340869

From the last post in this thread, it appears the Kanye album did eventually show up on the Plex searches. Have we figured out what the average lag time is between availability on tidal.com & the searchability (and playability) in Plex itself? Could the issue be caused by releases that come out before Fridays?

Thanks.

Thanks for the report - our guys are looking into it. There shouldn’t be any lag between TIDAL’s app and ours so it’s likely some gremlins in the system.

Could this be related to: "PLEX" Tidal playlist sync issue, causes NOT FOUND error and stops playback

Quick update: neither of the albums I asked about last time have been added, and the issue persists this week: two new releases from Bowling For Soup: A Nice Night for an Evening Volumes 1 & 2 were released 12/20/19:

Vol1:
https://tidal.com/browse/album/125201715

Vol2:
https://tidal.com/browse/album/125207818

Both are available from Tidal.com, but only volume 2 shows up using the Plex search.

While the team is looking into it, is it possible to manually refresh/add to plex the albums listed above? (especially excited to add Saint to my collection (The Calf by Saint on TIDAL)

Thanks for all your help.

I updated to the new iOS app on my phone (to 6.6) & it looks like all the problems listed above have been solved. Sorry for all the extra panic on my side. This rocks! Thanks so much to the team of wizards that make this all happen!

My work around was to add the albums to a playlist in the Tidal app, then access the playlist in plex. I would then manually add each song to my music collection. I know it’s way more steps than it should be, but it worked.

i tried this today. the playlist shows up (as well as a running time) but when i click to open it it tells me there’s nothing there.

this consistently has been happening to me. i can’t add new albums to plex until weeks after their release.

Yeah, just noticed it’s not working anymore. Tried with a few different albums, adding them to a playlist in the Tidal app, but the playlist is empty in Plex.

No new Eminem album in Plex today, but available in Tidal

Wish this was an option for my issue, but updating the Android app causes the music to be forced to play at 96kbps when on a mobile network, regardless of the apps settings to play music at maximum or original quality.
