I don’t know anything about that SOPHOS but if if a player says indirect then two things have happened.
remote access to your server computer has failed and limited indirect access over our relay is happening. more info about relay is here. https://support.plex.tv/articles/216766168-accessing-a-server-through-relay/
For some reason your players are on the same local network to your server they cannot find the sever locally so are being treated as if they are remote just like you were not at home and because they don’t know they are on the same network and they are going over relay.
Looking briefly at SOPHOS site looks to be some sort of firewall but I don’t see any info on an actual physical device. You may have to manually port forward it, and/or allow Plex ports through firewall
Info on what ports Plex needs is here https://support.plex.tv/articles/201543147-what-network-ports-do-i-need-to-allow-through-my-firewall/
info on port forwarding and other trouble shooting can be found here https://support.plex.tv/articles/200931138-troubleshooting-remote-access/#toc-1
If this sophos device is doing a DNS rebinding protection, I think you’ll have to tell it to exempt the domain plex.direct
from that protection.

Otherwise the clients won’t talk directly to the server because its FQDN is not valid in your local network.
