my plex shows indirect with limited connection the remote access turns green and then turns red when I click to go to another page also check the port which is close I have the plex container on docker and made the port forwarding setting on my synology router
The initial green indication is it being able to open the local port.
As soon as that happens, PMS asks Plex.tv to confirm a connection can be made.
If Plex.tv can connect, the indicator remains green.
If Plex.tv cannot connect, it changes back to red.
At this point, diagnosis is:
After checking the canyouseeme link I receive the error below
Error: I could not see your service on port
That means the port itself is not open.
Did you manually open the port or are you letting PMS open the port (using UPNP)?
If you are letting PMS do it then in your modem/router, do you know if UPNP service is enabled ?
Yes I manually open the port in my router and UPNP service is enable
If you manually opened and forwarded the port to the LAN IP address of your PMS server correctly, then “CanYouSeeMe.org” should show it as open.
Is the port forward enabled ?
yes the port forward is enable along with using UPNP when I try to connect remote to my plex account it shows indirect along with playing at the lowest quality
