I really like the concept of Plex and I don’t mind paying for it either. What I don’t like is the subscription model, that’s why I would tend to the lifetime model. The only problem is, the plex website is very fuzzy on what is included with that. If I buy the lifetime membership, do I still need the pay for every single device I would like to include? We have plenty of devices, various macs, Tablets and Smartphones and I would think, with the lifetime membership, a certain number of clients should be included.
Could anyone tell me, what exactly do I get with the lifetime pass, and do I need the a paid client software/app for every device?
All of the clients which are only available with payment (curently Android mobile and iOS – all other client types are free* ) are included in the Plex Pass.
This applies to the user who has the Plex Pass, and every of his 14 possible “managed” users.
* [except Plexamp, which is exclusive to Plex Pass holders]
This is the clearest list I’m aware of, although even this says “And even more!” It’s kind of irresponsible of Plex not to have a complete list somewhere.
when are you guys going to offer some Lifetime Plex Pass specials/discounts?, the last time was 17/12/2020, and if you missed that, do we have to wait another year?
