I installed plex on windows and set up the server with a google account, but my android plex player devices wouldn’t login with google, so I created a plex account, and signed into the new account. Now it says searching for server, and under settings I see no option to claim server for the new account. I tried reinstalling with the same outcome.
That’s because the server is still using the Google account.
You can go back into the Google account with your web browser and then Sign Out your server under
Settings - Server - General
Then sign out your web browser as well
and go back in to your new plex account.
You should then get a message about an ‘unclaimed’ server in your network. Claim it.

For future users that may read this: After reclaiming the server in the above steps it appears you have to log out and login again. Or perhaps wait a good while.
