Intel QSV hw-accelerated 1080p Transcode Limit

Now that QSV is sometimes working, at least on my 8700K, I can do 5 hw-accelerated transcodes before the iGPU gives up the Ghost. The sixth falls back to CPU.

What I don’t get is that, according to this document: https://support.plex.tv/articles/115002178853-using-hardware-accelerated-streaming/

Once QSV fails, The transcode should intelligently select NVEnc. This is not the case; the next fallback is CPU SW. Can someone tell me why? It’s somewhat disheartening as I have the GPU power for 2 more hw-accelerated transcodes with my Nvidia Pascal card. I hope this setup is stable, who knows when QSV will decide to take a dump again.
