Plex DVR does a terrible job of handling 1080i video - does anyone know what causes this, and can it be better?

@TheDukeofPrunes What settings do you have set for transcoding? I have found that for recording the grand prix on 4HD I had to set mine to:
Transcoder quality: Make my CPU hurt
Background transcoding x264 preset: Slower
If I set mine at any lower then the quality comes out just as it does on yours. I have found that they do increase the bitrate for the grand prix’s.
I will try that and report back
But, surely speed of transcoding will not affect the interlacing?
@TheDukeofPrunes The speed effects the quality, the slower the speed the better the quality.
