"Internet connection is required..." when scanning for new music?

Player Version#: 4.22.2

Since seemingly randomly yesterday my music library simply wont update, claiming the server has no internet connection every time I try. Other libraries update fine, and I can even tell the server to update the music library from the hosted web app at plex.tv, which is nonsensical - as the server clearly has an internet connection if it’s rechable by plex.tv’s hosted web app.

So I’ve disabled my manually specified port being used by my Plex server, allowing it to return to default. This now lets me scan my music library without errors. Not sure why this would’ve been a problem, and to only become an issue randomly yesterday, but I suppose I don’t need port forwarded access to my server’s web app from outside my network anyway- that’s what the plex.tv hosted web app is for.

Same issue, what settings are you using to get it working? I am running on a DS918+

For me I was previously using a manually specified public port under “Remote Access” settings. I disabled this setting and all is now working.

Server version#: 1.19.1.2645 (FreeNAS box)
Player version3: 4.31.2

I’m have the exact same issue. I Can scan movie and tv libraries but Plex claims I have no internet connection when attempting to scan my music library. :frowning:

I did disable ‘Manually specify public port’, 32400, and that did not help.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Same issue here. Only audio libraries present an issue. Everything else is working fine. Adjusting the remote access setting does not fix the issue for me.

Mine just started doing this yesterday - although full disclosure, I just moved my server to a new machine as well.

Similar to others - I can scan all libraries except for Music. I definitely have a fully functional Internet connection and Windows Firewall is turned off. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps I could find - restarting PMS, restarting the machine, adjusting remote access, etc. - but it still won’t work. Hoping you guys can help me fix it quick, as Music is what I currently use Plex for the most!

Just wanted to update and say that mine has started working correctly again after I signed out of my Plex account from the server and then back in. Hopefully this bug gets worked out for everyone else!

Still happens for me but ONLY when I use Remote Desktop from my iPad to work on my media server PC. Once it’s failed and moving to the PC keyboard I then have to restart the server or sometimes the PC to get it working again.
Starting by working directly connected to my PC is fine - however, I don’t do that often enough to say whether it might have the same issue.
Might be a RDC problem, as that has updated a few times lately, but, if it is, I can’t find a work-around.
