My problem is that I can’t update the music library (only the music library, the series and movie libraries work fine).
I get this error when updating the library:
Message
Need to be signed in and connected to the Internet to refresh a plex music library.
The issue is that I am logged in. I can watch series, I can watch movies, and I can listen to music that has already been scanned. I can search for new items in all libraries except musicals.
Where’s my PMS? On a QNAP NAS.
Do I have the latest version available for this equipment? Yes.
My domain has a valid Letsencrypt SSL certificate.
I currently access my domain through a reverse proxy: Traefik.
Router port 443 reaches Traefik and it redirects all connections to 32400. I have “green” access from the outside. So it seems that everything is well configured.
(Sorry for the capture, it is in Spanish language)
I just came across the same issue on server version 1.19.5.3112 myself, where I could refresh all libraries except premium music. I managed to resolve it by going onto my phone on plex web (this is where I last clicked refresh I believe) rather than my PC and what do you know…
Once I told it to refresh from my phone on plex web (it successfully did it), my desktop players / desktop plex web all started allowing me to scan / update the music library again - rather than giving me the message “An internet connection is required to scan library files. Please check the server’s internet connection and try again”.
FYI: both my plex web sessions were IP:port opposed to plex.tv connections and I got the same error message when using the Windows Application too before refreshing from my phone as described above.
Hopefully this or similar helps resolve your issue.
It’s very strange…
But this you comment has solved the problem. However, I think it is a patch. The system keeps crashing due to connection problems (if I hadn’t done what you say).
Same here since few days. Only music library have this issue, I can scan and refresh metadata on all others. My account with last.fm is still good.
I’ve restarted my computer multiple times, uptaded him too, still the issue.
Having the same problem when trying to refresh from the library itself and additionally get the following message when I’m at Settings > Libraries > "Music Library" > ... and try to refresh.
Nope, but this shouldn’t require one. This is my server, where I created this library in the first place. And afaik “Premium Music Libraries” don’t exist anymore.
I’ve restarted service on my debian and it works now. But strange thing is, if I reboot my computer it does not solve this issue. I can’t explain why.
Try to restart service and see if it’s ok. BTW I’ve seen lot a topic about this problem…
