Every time I go to scan my music library it comes up with “an internet connection is required to scan library files” but it is connected to the internet
Server Version#:
Player Version#:
The check on internet connectivity is made by having a dialogue with back end plex systems (referred to as pubsub servers)
Do you use a proxy server?
To start an investigation would need debug logging in place and plex media server logs captured
See
https://support.plex.tv/articles/201643703-reporting-issues-with-plex-media-server/
After ensuring debug logging is enabled - restart the server and wait 5 minutes
Then start a scan and if you get the error, capture the logs

Same issue here. Everything works fine except Music librarys will not scan and I get a message saying check interenet connection required. It was working fine earlier today before Plex server outage. I am not using a Proxy and have been running server with same setup for years.
There was an issue with the pubsub backend plex servers - about 12 hours ago. It should have got resolved
Plex Media Server has dialogue with these servers and that is how internet connectivity is checked
This is still happening. Plex support?
nevermind, was getting the offline error however stop and start of the Linux server seems to have resolved the issue.
Same issue here. I can scan/update every other file, just not the “Music” one.
I am progressing the problem on this forum topic An internet connection is required to scan library files. Please check this server's connection and try again
I have given explanation as to how this arises and what is needed to investigate
