Plex Server running in container on Synology DS1019+ (DSM 7.2.1-69057 Update 3) with host mode networking.
I recently ‘rebuilt’ my Plex Server running on my Synology NAS. Prior to the rebuild, everything worked properly, including intro and credit detection for TV Shows. When I rebuilt, I completely deleted all of the Plex configuration files in the /plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server folder, and used the linuxserver/plex:latest image. I did not change permissions for any of the Plex config or media folders, and have verified that all files contained within those folders are using the same permissions as the top level folders (I have a user ‘docker’ and a group ‘dockergroup’ that have full read permission and all write permissions except Delete to these folders).
After the rebuild, intro detection is generally not working. I say ‘generally’ because I have been able to get it to work on some of my TV shows after a lot of manual starting/stopping/config manipulation. Credit detection is working fine. All of my shows are organized into /media/tv/show_name/Season XX/episode_file. For one TV show, analyzing at the ‘show’ level didn’t work, but I was able to get it to work at the ‘season’ level for most seasons. For the seasons that didn’t work, I moved the show files to a different folder on the NAS, then scanned library files, emptied the trash, deleted the bundle files, moved the show files back, scanned the library again, deleted the PMS /Codecs folder, and then analyzed again. That worked. But I’ve tried the same thing with another show and it just plain won’t add the intros.
Again, the intros used to work for these shows, and I could see the data in the show .xml files, but now it won’t work. Credit detection works fine. Playback of all of the files works fine from my Mac, Apple TV, and Fire TV. I’m at a loss for what to do next. I’ve read through the forums and tried just about everything I’ve seen as a suggestion and am stuck.
I’m just clicked analyze on one season of a show that isn’t working and downloaded logs. Attached.
