For some reason intros are not being detected for any of my TV shows, thus not allowing me to skip intros. I tried to force it on “The Office” but from what I can tell, it doesn’t even attempt to detect them. I also made sure it’s turned on as a scheduled task & when media is added.
Plex Pass both on server and client - Check
Server Version: 1.19.3.2793 or newer (on 1.19.5.3112) - Check
Player App: Android TV (v8.0.1 or newer) - Check
Intro skip was working before I started a new server (had metadata issues that I couldn’t resolve, so I started over).
If I Analyze a TV show, shouldn’t that force it to look for intros on that TV show and stop all other processes? Is there any way to see what’s been processed so I can check that TV show?
I just analyzed every season in my library and I’m seeing this error in the logs pretty frequently, example:
IntroDetector: Failed to get metadata for: /volume1/Media/TV Shows/Married… with Children/Season 02/Married… with Children - S02E22 - All in the Family 360p.avi
How would I go about making sure it’s communicating correctly? It’s able to download metadata and I can connect remotely to my server. About the only thing not working is the intros
Ha! That may have been the problem. Reset the NAS & Router, Analyzed all the seasons again and it’s detecting intros without errors. It’s updating the entire library so it’ll take a little bit before I can confirm the “Skip Intro” button appears, but looks to have solved the issue. I really appreciate it trumpy81! I’ll check back when it’s done analyzing.
