I sent an invite via email, user accepted, and when they try to log in they are asked their username (email) but they are also being asked for a password. I did not set up a password for that user… Did I do something wrong in the invite process?
You did nothing wrong, but you can only share your media with users who have their own Plex account (excluding managed users, which is intended for people in your home, like the spouse or kids). So in order for your friend to accept the invitation, they need to create a (free) Plex account, if they don’t already have one.
