I clicked on “Invite Home User” and typed in my wife’s email.
She received the email and clicked the link and it sent her to a login screen.
Entered the servers account info and nothing happened other then logging in as me.
Not so simple as clicking the link in the email WTF am I missing?
Edit: A better question is why no support for paying customers.
You’ve mixed up the 2 ways of accessing a Plex Home.
Scenario 1: Managed users
Managed users are a “subset” of your Plex account. For a managed user to access Plex using Plex Web or any other player, you’ll have to sign in as yourself – that’ll bring up the fast user-switching screen, allowing you to pick which managed user you are and to enter their PIN.
Scenario 2: Inviting another Plex user
In this scenario you invite an existing user and give them access to your server.
If you invited your wife with her own e-mail address, Plex considers you want her to create an account of her own (=signing up to Plex). When logging in with that new Plex account, she’ll have her own account settings and see the libraries you shared with her.
In that case you missed letting her create that account and logged in with yours (which of course shows your account info, content, customizations…).
If you don’t want her to create an account for herself you need to create a managed account for her instead.
I recommend you take a look at the Example Plex Home Setup. That support article describes how to invite somebody with an own Plex account into your “Home” vs. creating managed users for them.
