In fact this issue was brought up last year and you responded that you got the same situation. And this seems to only exist on iOS, Android doesn’t have this problem. This is obviously a bug and hopefully Plex will fix this.
The situation is that when using mobile network, you can play back using the original quality, and if you want to transcode the playback, the highest option for transcoding is only 480P. There is no such limitation when using a WIFI remote. Mobile network can play back the original quality properly, it must have the ability to play back quality higher than 480P, but it’s still limited.
