Request:
- Enable 4K (20Mbps and 40Mbps) quality on mobile Apps for streaming and downloading for folks that have high-performance GPUs in their Plex servers
Current:
- New Plex iOS app only support 1080p (High) as the highest quality (other than original)
- Setting Maximum to 4k 40Mbps in Plex Remote settings and “Auto Adjust Quality” in Plex Web settings enables 40Mbps for Plex Web but not for iOS App. Max is still 1080p (High)
- Note: Setting remote maxiumum to Original disables 4K 40Mbps for Plex Web

- The previous app used to support transcoded 4K (forgot if it was 20Mbps or 40Mbps)
Background:
- My 4K library is composed of Blu-ray Remuxes that I have created from discs. I want to have 4K high-quality when streaming / downloading remotely on my iPhone / iPad without the crazy 80Mbps data rates and 80GB data sizes.
- I have an intel a310 gpu that can easily transcode this for me.
