iOS no subtitle offsets

On https://support.plex.tv/articles/subtitle-offsets/ iOS is listed as a device that has subtitles offset, but my iPhone mini 12 does not have it, and while iPadOS is not listed as a supported device for subtitle offset, my iPad mini 5 does have a setting for it.

Right, but subtitle offset is not on my iOS device (as listed in the support article), but is on my iPadOS device (not listed)
I suspect that the support article just needs to be edited.

There should be no difference in iOS or iPadOS. I can on my old’ish test iOS device. Off hand the only thing can think of is maybe it does not have setting due that playback possibly transcoding but not sure if yours is even transcoding.

Unfortunately I don’t have all the details on iOS since I am mostly an Android person and folks I can ask are away for the holidays

That was it, nice catch.
I had “automatically adjust quality” ON on my iPhone, but not on my iPad,

Weird that the only thing transcoded was subtitles:

Fixed with your help, but curious as to why only subtitles would be transcoded with “automatically adjust quality” ON and on my local network?
(The reason why I had selected automatically adjust quality was for when I was outside my local network)
