I believe a recent interface update I Made has confused the Dash-admin app
I have been using this server and Dash app combo for a while. And similar scans have worked correctly (on earlier releases of server) in the past.
I (admin) just updated the placement of some of my libraries on my home page(via my OS X client/player). Then tonight I added some TV shows and movies to their appropriate libraries. I initiated the scan for TV from my desktop client and then a while latter I initiated a scan for the Movie Library.
In the iOS app it correctly displayed Movies when saying what it was scanning, but showed entries from my TV library as the individual items being scanned. I double checked via the desktop client to see activity and it also shows items from my TV library as the ones being scanned.
Then using my desktop client I requested a scan of my Movie library and it did it correctly. My guess would be that when originally downloading the library list they have positional IDs and instead of verifying the name it used that Position ID to initiate the scan in stead of going by its name. Hence actually requesting the TV instead of Movie I requested
Since redoing the scan via my desktop client works correctly in is not unrecoverable but inconvenient if you have moved your libraries.
I’ll redo the test when I insert another movie this weekend and see if I get the same result. Right now it already scanned all TV+Movies so no items show up as new
