I’ve been a long-time Plex user, but this latest iOS app update has rendered the experience nearly unusable. Several key features that made Plex great are now broken or removed:
• Casting is Broken: I can no longer cast directly from my iPhone to my Sony Bravia TVs. This worked seamlessly before, and now it simply doesn’t connect.
• Recording Playback Options Removed: Previously, when watching an in-progress recording, Plex gave me the option to “start from beginning” or “watch live” — that feature is now gone.
• Watch Together is Completely Broken: The “Watch Together” feature no longer works as intended. It’s either unresponsive or fails to sync playback entirely.
• User Interface is a Step Backwards: The new layout is confusing, clunky, and feels like a downgrade from what was a simple, functional interface.
